Soups and stews are surely the most comforting of all comfort foods. They are in some way, a part of every culture in some shape or form. This list of 45 Cozy and Comforting Soups covers all the bases, and each and every one of them has been tested and taste approved in my own kitchen! Now, come and get it while it’s hot!

Welcome, Dear Reader, to this post all about my favourite 45 Cozy and Comforting Soups! In our home, we have very different tastes when it comes to mealtime, but we always seem to agree on soup. First of all, my partner, John.e, is a vegetarian. And, when my daughter, McKenna, comes to visit, she is not what I would call a picky eater, but she’s certainly a stubborn one. If she has a craving for a certain sometime, then there is no convincing her otherwise. I get stuck in the middle somewhere. I’m the one who does all of the cooking, and I’m also the one responsible for maintaining a stocked fridge and pantry. And, in all cases, deciding what to eat at mealtimes falls on my shoulders.
The dish I can prepare that seems to make everyone happy is soup. Both John.e and McKenna love soups and stews and I enjoy preparing them. I find the cutting and chopping of vegetables to be quite therapeutic, and nearly every time, preparing soup means just one pot to wash up! So, let’s dive into these soup recipes! I’m sure you will find many of the recipes that follow favourable to your family.

These soup recipes all look so wonderfully delicious! I am eager to whip up the Poor Man’s Soup soon, but I don’t like the taste of store bought veggie broth at all – do you have a recipe for homemade stock?
I enjoy your posts so much, thank you!

Thank you, Susie. I don’t have a recipe for stock yet. I’m still working on it.
