Patriotic M&M Blondies

With red, white, and blue M&M candy, we can celebrate both Canada Day and Independence Day with these Patriotic M&M Blondies!
- 1 cup butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
- 2 cups brown sugar, lightly packed
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs, whisked
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups M&M candies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a mini muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
Add the melted butter to a mixing bowl. Use a wooden spoon to mix in the brown sugar until well incorporated.
Stir in the eggs and vanilla.
Add the flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until combined.
Divide the batter into two equal portions.
Add 3/4 cup of the red and white M&Ms to one half, and the red, white, and blue M&Ms to the other half. Stir to combine.
Add one tablespoon of the batter to the mini muffin pan holes. Top with a few of the corresponding colour of M&Ms.
Bake for exactly 9 minutes. Remove two-bite blondies from the mini muffin pan immediately and place on a wire cooling rack to completely cool. (If using a 9 x 13 baking dish, bake for 12 minutes.)
Allow the blondies to cool for 5 minutes before removing from the pan. Allow to fully cool on a wire cooling rack before stacking or storing.
