In more cases than not, simple is best! Cheddar Cheese Green Onion Dip is a perfect example of simple and best! Oh, and easy and delicious too!!
old cheddar cheese,
In a bowl, cream the cream cheese using a hand-held mixer. Mix until there are no lumps.
Mix in the mayo and the sour cream, along with the black pepper and garlic. Mix well.
Use a wooden spoon to fold in the grated cheddar cheese and the green onions. Mix well to fully incorporate all ingredients.
Transfer to a food-safe container and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
Before serving, remove from refrigerator and let sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
We had a lot of this dip left over, so the next day, I portioned the cold dip into ramekins and baked them for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. It made for a lovely hot, cheesy dip served with nachos!
