  • 4 pounds sirloin tip beef roast
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 5 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 large hamburger buns
  • 3 cups coleslaw
  • 3 cups old cheddar cheese, grated

  • Add the following ingredients to your slow cooker: onion, ketchup, brown sugar, garlic, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, paprika, chili powder, and water. Whisk together to combine.
  • If the beef roast is tied with string, leave it on. Place the beef into the slow cooker and secure the lid.
  • Turn the heat to high and allow beef to cook for 5 hours.
  • When beef is cooked, remove from slow cooker and place on a wooden cutting board. Allow beef to rest for 10 minutes.
  • Next, slice beef about 1/4-1/2 inch thick. Dip each slice into the sauce in the slow cooker before placing the sliced beef onto the hamburger bun.
  • Top the beef with 1/2 cup of grated cheese and 1/2 cup of prepared coleslaw.
  • Serve immediately.
  • Optional: use the leftover sauce to serve as a dip for the sandwiches.
