2017 was a roller coaster of a ride and you, Dear Reader, made it all possible! Based on popularity, here are my Top 10 Recipes of 2017!
2017 was awesome – it really was! Since my first recipe post a few years back, I feel that finally my blog has grown into a blossoming collection of home-style recipes that not only I can be proud of, but that you, Dear Reader, can replicate in your kitchen. When you make my recipes and send me an email, leave me a comment, or tag me in a photo of your creation, it makes it all worth while. That in itself, is the greatest feeling of all and the best compliment ever!
At the time this particular post was published, Lord Byron’s Kitchen has over 300 recipes under various categories, ready for the taking! When I stop to think about it, it feels like a dream, really. I’ve always loved to cook and bake, but I never thought I’d find an outlet to share my recipes with readers like you. To post 300 recipes requires a lot of hard work, determination, and frustration – lots of frustration! But, here we are, once again celebrating the Top 10 Recipes of another year.
Personally, I quite enjoy going back and looking through the recipes that have performed well over the past year. I like to read through the post, and carefully examine each photo. I keep thinking that somewhere along the way, I’m going to pinpoint the reason a recipe has become so popular or why a certain post has done so well. But, Dear Reader, try as I may, I can never find any rhyme or reason that makes any sense. It’s just the luck of the draw!
Without further delay, here’s my Top 10 Recipes of 2017. If you’ve missed any of these recipes over the past year, I encourage you to give them a read. You just might find a new family favourite. And, if by chance, you’ve tried them all, then I invite you to join me in 2018 for brand new recipes, new flavours, and new dinnertime options! Happy New Year!!

Congrats on a great year! The reason some of your recipes are soooo popular is that they speak to our hearts! All of your recipes are real and attainable, but sometimes, the story or the associated memory we attached to a menu item is how you strike a chord with us.
Keep it up, Byron!
I don’t comment as often as I should … but I truly enjoy reading your posts. Cheers to a successful 2018!
